Any question before or after the booking?

1 out of 6 cars has a tampered mileage. This is just one example of a scam. The used car market is a jungle. Too often we hear stories of buyers who soon after their purchase find themselves with large bills. Buying a car is an important life project and should not be a source of stress. Everyone has their own business. Ours is to make sure you buy the right vehicle with pre-purchase car inspection.

Our inspections last between 40 and 60 minutes, depending on the size of the vehicle and our mechanics’ experience with that specific model. All our inspections are carried out with the vehicle on the ground, without lifting it, and are strictly visual.

Our approach relies on effective techniques to observe critical components while maintaining a fast, non-intrusive mobile service:

  • Undercarriage and chassis: Thanks to the vehicle’s ground clearance (distance between the ground and the underbody), our inspectors can crouch down and visually examine the lower parts of the vehicle, allowing the detection of leaks or rust—except in the case of very low vehicles (e.g., sports cars).

  • Suspension / shock absorbers: A road test is performed. This is a key part of the inspection, especially for detecting rolling noises, which often only appear at speeds above 80 km/h. A dynamic test is therefore a real advantage.

  • Brakes: We use flashlights and magnetic mirrors to visually inspect the brake discs. Brake pads and discs wear together and are generally not replaced separately. If the disc is worn, the pads will be as well.

Yes, we do! Our inspectors are trained to perform inspections on electric and hybrid vehicles. However, please note that we are not able to test the residual value of the battery.

Check here, by indicating the city where the vehicle is located, and we’ll tell you. You can also contact us.

At CarInspect, our inspection covers three key areas: mechanical, functional, and visual.

  • Mechanical inspection: Our inspectors perform a road test, including a speed test, to detect any unusual noises or signs of mechanical issues.

  • Functional inspection: We check the operation of all included features and options, such as the windshield washer, dashboard instruments, power windows, and other electronic components.

  • Visual inspection: This focuses on the overall appearance of the vehicle, both inside and out, identifying visible damage, wear, or cosmetic concerns.

Please note that at CarInspect, we do not elevate the vehicle or remove tires, so the car is not raised during the inspection. The inspection service provided by CarInspect differs from that of a traditional garage, while remaining equally comprehensive.

Sure, our inspection is useful for both buyers and sellers. It can help you diagnose issues with your car before selling it or before going on a trip.

No, the time of the inspection is determined by the inspector in agreement with the seller, to optimize organization and avoid unnecessary travel. You will, of course, be informed by e-mail of the date and time once the appointment has been confirmed with the seller. If you would like to know the exact time of the inspection, please call us or contact us at info@carinspect.com.

Your presence is not recommended. Here are the main reasons:

– Finding a common availability between the seller, an inspector and yourself complicates the logistics in addition to reducing the chances of finding an appointment fast.

– It could affect the quality of our inspectors’ work. Concentration is crucial for the inspector, and it allows them to be rigorous on the analysis of the vehicle. The inspection can last up to 2h depending on the type of vehicle.

If you wish to be present, we invite you to indicate it in the section “Additional requests” of the reservation form.

Before booking your inspection, please ensure that the vehicle is ready to be inspected and driven. This involves:

  • obtaining the seller’s authorization,
  • checking that the vehicle has sufficient fuel,
  • that the tires are suitable for the season, and that the car is registered.

If these conditions (or any other conditions that prevent our inspector from safely performing a road test) are not met, the road test will not be conducted, and the responsibility will rest with the client.

No, this is not a safety inspection.
Safety inspections can only be performed at certified garages that are authorized to conduct them.

This depends on your insurance provider’s requirements.
We recommend checking with your insurer before booking to ensure they accept our type of inspection.
